Santon Dowham in Suffolk 33.3C (91.9F) Today As Met Office Declare Heatwave
Today is the hottest day of the year so far with 33.3C (91.9F) recorded at Santon Downham in Suffolk, the Met Office says.
There's every indication it could get hotter, as the Met Office warns of temperatures peaking on Thursday and Friday - potentially hitting the mid 30s.
Advice is if you don't have to be out in this weather then please stay in, and keep yourselves hydrated. Businesses should make extra efforts to keep their workforce safe during the next few days and consider the periods of time individuals are out in this heat. We're grateful we have no forklift training this week except one instructor working in cold-storage, lucky man.
Yes we're loving it in Beccles, Suffolk, but how about an hours rain here and there? What happened to those summer thunderstorms?
Take care all!
